AYM
Womenswear brand AYM continues to front fashion trends with support of Let’s Do Business Finance.
The Amack Group Ltd (Trading as AYM) based in Lewes, East Sussex, have benefitted from a £70,000 loan via the Recovery Loan Scheme to facilitate further business growth, implementing a new stock system and recruiting a new seamstress.
AYM (Always Your Moment) is a fashion studio aiming to create clothing empowering not only those that wear it, but those that make it too. Creating ethically made pieces that can be molded into the style of the woman wearing them. The studio was founded by Central Saint Martins' graduate Alie Mackintosh with the aim to create pieces that allow women to feel incredible.
Alie's fashion business has the ability to pick up on what young fashion conscious women around the world want to wear next weekend, but produce it in an ethical and sustainable way. AYM puts people and the planet first, which means treating its team members fairly, including paying a fair living wage, as well as continuously evolving their processes in order to achieve zero waste. Alie is passionate that buyers should understand the processes used when buying clothes, so they can make informed decisions about where to spend their money.
This honourable approach to clothing manufacturer, and clothing perfectly crafted to create a stunning silhouette has already put AYM on the map, not only winning ‘Small Business of the Year’ several times at the Sussex Business Awards, but also gaining attention from hot celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Hailey Bieber.
Having substantially grown since she established the business in 2012, Alie reached out to Let’s Do Business Finance to seek some support in taking her business to the next level, applying for finance from the Recovery Loan Scheme.
The Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS) is a government backed business loan scheme that supports access to finance for UK businesses as they recover and grow following the Covid-19 pandemic. Providing loans of up to £10million over a maximum of 6 years, loans can be used for a wide range of purposes including managing cash flow, investment and growth.
Providing a loan of £70k, The Let’s Do Business Group who are accredited providers of the RLS scheme on behalf of British Business Bank, were able to assist Amack Group Ltd with their growth plans, supporting the implementation of a new stock system and the recruitment of a new seamstress to help satisfy demand.
