About Gary
Originally from Wallington, Surrey, Gary brings over 20 years of experience in supporting businesses, having spent two decades at NatWest Bank. He began his career as a Business & Commercial Relationship Manager, building strong relationships with business owners, and progressed to Regional Enterprise Director, where he played a key role in driving enterprise growth, before joining our team last year.
Gary’s job is all about helping businesses find the right finance options. Every day, he speaks to business owners, listening to their needs, and finding the best solutions to support their goals.
Why Let’s Do Business Finance?
Having known Let’s Do Business Group’s Chief Executive, Graham, and Let’s Do Business Finance’s Managing Director, Sean, from his time at NatWest, Gary had seen first-hand the support we provide to businesses across Southeast and East of England. When the opportunity came up to join the team, he jumped at the chance to be part of something that truly makes a difference.
For Gary, the most rewarding part of his role is seeing businesses take the next step in their journey. Every business he helps has its own unique story, and behind every business is a person who is working hard to support themselves and their family. Knowing that his support can make a real difference to people’s lives is what makes the job so special.
While Gary loves what he does, not every business will always be the right fit. But he doesn’t see that as a problem! Thanks to the strong networks he’s built, he can often point people in the direction of another provider who might be able to help.
Advice for Business Owners
Gary’s biggest tip for anyone starting a business? Follow the ‘Build, Measure, Learn’ approach:
Build – Develop and test your product or service.
Measure – Collect data and see how customers respond.
Learn – Analyse that feedback to refine your approach and make informed decisions on the next steps.
And most importantly? Don’t be afraid to fail, but fail fast and be prepared to pivot your idea and then Build, Measure & Learn the new idea...
